The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Division Controller with the responsibility for assisting in the timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external consolidated financial statements.
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including account recons, journal entries and Financial Reporting.
Sales Incentive Program Accounting
Off-site Warehouse inventory Reconciliation
Assist with preparation and analysis of upper Management Reporting
Review, update, execute and document internal controls
Assist with Corporate Office accounting function and act as a primary interface with Corporate Treasury function
Provide divisional accounting assistance to improve timely and accurate reporting of data for Corporate
Participate in the development and implementation of various process improvement initiatives and corporate policies
Perform special projects as directed
Customer Rebate Accounting including calculations, tracking, and general ledger maintenance of all rebate accounts
Review and sign off of various general ledger journal entries
Maintain Pricing Records for Inter-Company Transferred Materials
Calculate Resin Raw Material Price Changes for system entry
Prepare and distribute Customer Index Price Change calculations
Design and Prepare Ad Hoc Crystal Reports as Requested by Managers and Employees
Provide Daily Functional Support for Purchasing Module in Ross ERP System - Pricing, Purchasing, Receiving, & A/P
Accounts Payable Invoice GL Coding
Assist with Payroll and Other Local Employee HR Matters
Maintain Accounting Records in Accordance Records Retention Policy
Assist with Internal and External Audit Response Preparation
Vendor Master Maintenance for Ross ERP System
Provide Assistance with Special Projects and Analysis for Management
Assist Division Controller with Period End Financial Close and Account Reconciliations
Assist Division Controller in maintaining Internal Control Compliance
Provide general assistance to Division Controller as requested
Minimum
Qualifications:
Accounting Degree and CPA, or equivalent, is required - Master's degree is a plus.
Progressive 4
years accounting experience with Big 4 experience is preferred.
A strong technical understanding of GAAP and experience in developing appropriate accounting treatment for business issues is desired.
Experience in integrated accounting systems, consolidation software a plus.
ERP experience particularly with SAP is strongly desired.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
