Description:
Is responsible for production scheduling, inventory planning, and material procurement to support customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling
Manages Production Scheduling process.
Determine job order priorities on bottleneck operations
Analyze variances to production schedules to improve overall process
Identify capacity requirements for machines and assembly lines.
Coordinate launch activities with product engineers
Inventory Planning
Responsibility for all aspects of inventory with objective of 100% inventory control
Increases part and component availability by improving planning process and inventory accuracy.
Material Procurement
Manages the Material Procurement process
Resolve material availability problems that could result in failure to meet customer requirements
General
Attends production meetings and provides status on material issues and shortages.
Determine or adjust lead times
Examines material variances, resolves problems, communicates difficult problems with and to management
Follow up on materials or finished goods that fail internal Q.A. inspection
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Participates in identifying root cause and corrective actions to improve processes, meet plant goals
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Education:
Four year degree in Business, Management or related field.

Experience:
Three to five years of prior production planning and material management in a plastic manufacturing or similar environment. Must have a clear understanding of supply chain management
Skills:
Good Mathematical and Analytical Skills

Training Specific to Positions:
Must be certified with APICS / CPIM

Other:
Hands on experience with injection mold and automotive interior component assembly is desired.
Must have strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication, team skills, quality, Kanban, PDCA, MS Excel, and Word.
Demonstrated knowledge of MRP based planning systems
Ability to travel with little notice

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
