## Description
To prepare and paint aircraft components
Assess the condition of the components in accordance with the technical data.
Prepare components to be painted which includes but is not limited to taping, sanding, and paint mixing.
Paint components to specifications of technical data.
Engage in Continuous Improvement activities addressing daily throughput, work in process, turn-around times and other observed non-conformances.
Ensure compliance with Service Bulletins, Instructions and Airworthiness Directives as required.
Comply with work instructions, technical directives and Crew Chief's instructions.
Complete all work records, forms and historical data as required.
Comply with all safety and tool control program requirements.
Advise Crew Chief of problems that may delay scheduled delivery of components or quality of product.
Ensure materials issued for assigned tasks are the correct items to resolve the problem.
Provide 'on-the-job' training to new employees, as required.
Assist with monitoring and management of Work In Process and Turnaround Times.
Exhibit a positive, courteous behavior with customers and coworkers alike.
Assist coworkers, and those in other departments, to successfully perform job tasks and functions.
Follow all policies, procedures and practices as established by the Company and regulatory bodies.
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of work experience directly related to aircraft sheet metal and component repair.
Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED)
Understanding and using the English language both oral and written.
Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, specifications, schematics and procedures manuals.
Completing and signing work instructions and associated documents.
Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Demonstrating problem analysis and reporting capabilities.
Demonstrating acceptable interpersonal relations.
Recognizing, identifying and reporting the existence of a problem.
Performing a task in the presence of distracting stimulation or under monotonous conditions without significant loss of thought process and efficiency.
Operating hand and power tools associated with the assigned work-scope.
Travel worldwide, with limited notice, obtain a security clearance, obtain a passport or visa.
Proficient in the use of standard and special hand and power tools and equipment.
Ability to properly use precision measuring equipment.
Ability to 'mark out' and 'work too' close tolerances.
Good eye to hand co-ordination.
Good visual acuity, colour perception, depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee may occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions or vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
